I just received my January notification about FenCon 2010. Is anyone else going?

Great Con, Kris. Anna, Chantal and I had our first Board of Directors meeting in the hot-tub. It's small, not at all overwhelming, great panels, friendly people, very nice art show, good dealers room. We all enjoyed it a lot. Can somebody post a link to their website?Re: FenCon VII (2010)

Gotta love these con hotels that are perfectly set up for board meetings. Really, all we needed were some floating candles, something water-proof to write on, fewer children, and some drinks. (g) The hot tub was brilliant. I definitely hope you'll come, Kris!

Yeah, I'm coming. May be more difficult as I'm currently boycotting SouthWest for their policies re: people of size, but I'll be there!

I recommend calling reservations to reserve the room. They've got the FenCon discount set up, even though the webpage doesn't have the code up yet.

Ya'll seem so eager for this, I'm sort of planning on doing a day trip because I can't afford a hotel room. I do have family up there but we're not close, he's a cousin on my dad's side and about twenty years older than I am. At least DFW isn't that far from where I live...Re: FenCon VII (2010)

I'm closer to Houston than DFW, right off 45...and I don't know about going halves on a room. I don't make a lot of money, a good week at my job might have twenty hours. There was a payperiod at Christmas where I made sixty dollars...I'd have to wait on that, see how much it is, and if I can even afford to stay for the whole thing. I don't want to commit and then have to back out last minute because of funding, or having to work or something...Re: FenCon VII (2010)

Guardian--I hear you about money. I get paid once a month, and money is always tight around the end of the month. I'll go ahead and reserve a room of some sort, and if you or someone else needs a Fencon roomie, the bed'll be there.
And...I have a room!
And all other even-numbered years.... The family reunion is held every other year, and always over Labor Day weekend, which is just too darn close to FenCon for me to afford it.
