No, the Dragonhealer Hall of the Northern Continent has always been located at Shipfish DragonHold in High Reaches Weyr's territory. It's never been at Igen Weyr. :)

I don't think there was any mention of Igen Weyr in Family Connections. If there was, it was a passing reference only, and not important. Southern Weyr, however, was mentioned and was important in relation to dragonhealing and Chyler. The Dragonhealer Hall of the Southern Continent is based at Southern Weyr.

OK sorry about that must something about the Achieve Hall being there.

Also I am working on a minor hold, that grew out of group of cot hold, and by present day has what need to be a minor hold beholden to StarRise its self, was thinking, would that working 50-50 rule here, send off folks to start apprenticeships, and take it from there?

The 50/50 rule only applies to stories that take place outside of StarRise Weyr's territory of protection. That territory of protection includes Horizon Hold, StarRise Hold, Three Rapids Hold, SplitRock Hold, and all their associated territory.

I don't think a group of cotholds could actually converge to become a minor hold. Unless they are adjacent or within a certain distance (easy walking distance) of a major Hold, cotholds generally are pretty isolated. A cothold becomes a minor hold after they have grown beyond a certain size.

You also need to separate your thoughts of holds and apprentices. Holds do not have apprentices. Halls, and Hall complexes within Holds, have apprentices. Minor holds aren't going to have a Hall complex where apprentices will be trained. So, are you wanting to establish a minor hold, or are you wanting to establish a small Hall location? What craft are you wanting to develop here?

And is this the same craft you've been discussing in your other thread?

Just had one more question it related to the Glass Smith, I know its an off-branch of the Smith Craft would they have there own hall? For Ista and Igen have the fine sand for glass making, and I don't know the NPC Wyers territories to know.
What if the area around I using cannon as reference Paradise River for it has a fine sand pit there.
I am still having problem reading maps :study: :?:  Thanks.

Ginny,

As you can see from the list you linked to, there is not a Glass Smith Hall in the Shared Tenth Pass. Glass smithing is a specialization within the Smith Hall. They do not have a hall just for glass smithing, but major Holds have craft enclaves, and some of those enclaves may have glass smithing facilities.

Paradise River Hold does not exist in this timeline. We follow the chronology of the books until the end of The White Dragon. All events that happen after that point did not happen for StarRise Weyr and the Shared Tenth Pass. As far as we know, the fine sand pits of that area haven't yet been discovered. :)
